MEET THE SUPERVISORS
Billie
Crowley
Humboldt County
Supervisor
"Hello! My name is Billie
Crowley and I am the supervisor for Humboldt Caregivers. Our
parent company has been serving Northern California for over
twenty years. I started this division in August of 2004. My
experience before this has been diverse. I was a live-in
caregiver for my mother and respite caregiver for my
mother-in-law, both of whom had Alzheimer's disease. I have been
a hospice volunteer, took Nursing Assistant training at College
of the Redwoods, was an in-home care provider and worked in a
board and care facility as a care provider. Before discovering
this work that I love, my husband and I owned and operated a
group of vacation cottages in Anchor Bay
on the Mendocino Coast. Prior to that I was a manager with a
telecommunications company. I moved to McKinleyville with my
husband in 2002 and currently reside in Trinidad.
Providing quality in home care
with compassionate, skilled care providers is a passion of mine.
It is equally important for me to provide leadership and support
to our excellent care team. My goal is to provide care with the
appropriate skill level for your needs, with a care provider or
team of care providers you feel comfortable with, and with as
much consistency in care providers as possible. Good
communications is essential for successful caregiving.
I look forward to working with
you."
Laura
Neely
Humboldt County
Assistant Supervisor
"Greetings, my name
is Laura Neely, assistant supervisor of Humboldt
Caregivers. I am a 35 year resident of Humboldt County.
I have lived in Humboldt County since I was five years
old when my parents moved us from the northeast part of California to the
northwest coast.
I am a former owner of two small businesses in Eureka
and Fortuna that ran successively for twelve years,
thank you Humboldt County. Today, I have the honor and
privilege of working with an exceptional and
professional company, Humboldt Caregivers which is an
extension of Pacific Medical Resources, Fort Bragg. In
addition to inviting you to enjoy the beauty of Humboldt
County I would like to invite you to explore the best of
Humboldt County caregiving services, Humboldt
Caregivers.
I am a family-oriented person who enjoys all outdoor
activities including horse packing and camping in the
Marble Mountains and the Trinity Alps. I have three
wonderful and extremely talented sons, and the most
incredible husband of twenty years. I love to indulge
myself in outdoor activities with my family because
of the beauty in our area, and because of the closeness
that we share during our adventures. We hunt for duck
and deer; fish for bass and trout at the
lakes and fresh water lagoon; hike through the redwood
parks; water ski and pontoon boat on the lake; and my
favorite activity, we ride our horses through the
rugged, but beautiful mountain terrain throughout
Humboldt County. My favorite riding and camping spot is Cuneo Creek Horse Camp in the Rockefeller Forest, Avenue
of the Giants. My favorite place to watch the sun set is
at the mouth of the Mattole River which is part of the
Lost Coast Trail near Petrolia. I also love the
diversity of Humboldt County and its many cultural
events. These events include, but are not limited to, the
North Coast Jazz Festival celebrated in Eureka, the
Apple Days celebrated in Fortuna and the Anne Mary Days
celebrated yearly in Blue Lake. My favorite places to
eat are the Sunset Restaurant at Cher-Ae-Heights Casino in
Trinidad, and the Folie Douce in Arcata. I have a
wonderful life here in Humboldt with my family and close
friends. I would like so say thank you again for keeping
our county as beautiful and breath-taking as it is and
for supporting our local and family-owned businesses."
